How It Works

Vanuatu Citizenship Application Process

Five clearly defined steps from your first consultation to holding your Vanuatu citizenship certificate.

1
Day 1
Free Consultation
We review your background and confirm eligibility for the Vanuatu DSP. You receive a clear, itemised quote covering the government fee and our advisory fee — no surprises later. If your profile is complex, we assess it honestly and advise whether additional preparation is needed.
2
Day 3–7
Document Preparation
Your legal team provides a precise checklist of required documents. We guide you through notarisation, apostilles and translations where needed. You gather the documents — we do all the preparation work.
3
Day 14
Application Submission
We prepare and submit your complete application file to the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission via official channels. The government due diligence fee ($5,500) is paid at this stage.
4
Day 14–45
Due Diligence & Government Review
The Citizenship Commission conducts background verification including Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) clearance, Interpol checks, and source-of-funds review. We monitor your application status and respond to all Commission queries on your behalf. This stage typically takes 4–6 weeks. Factors that can extend timing: document gaps, complex corporate structures, or high-risk country associations.
5
Day 45–60
Citizenship Certificate & Passport
You receive your Vanuatu citizenship certificate. An oath ceremony is arranged by our representatives — no travel to Vanuatu required. Biometric enrolment for the passport is completed at a Vanuatu diplomatic post or designated consulate near you. The government donation ($130,000) is paid upon approval. Your Vanuatu passport follows within 2–4 weeks and is valid for 10 years.

Process FAQ

No visit to Vanuatu is required at any stage. The application is completed fully remotely. An oath ceremony is required but is arranged by our representatives in your country of residence. There is no interview requirement and no residency requirement.
In some cases applications are approved in 45–50 days. However, we recommend clients plan for 2 months to account for document preparation and any Commission queries. We will advise your specific timeline during consultation.
The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Vanuatu verifies that your investment funds are legitimate and not linked to money laundering or sanctions. This is a standard part of due diligence for all applications. Clear bank statements, a documented source of wealth, and relevant tax records speed up this stage. Our legal team prepares a source-of-funds brief on your behalf before submission — this substantially reduces the risk of delays or queries.
Rejection is rare when applications are properly prepared. The $5,500 government due diligence fee is non-refundable in the event of rejection — this is why honest pre-submission assessment matters. We review your profile candidly before any fees are incurred and only proceed when we are confident in a successful outcome. In the rare event of a rejection we discuss options including resubmission with additional documentation or alternative programs.
We specialise in complex applicant profiles — multi-jurisdictional assets, prior visa issues, high-risk business sectors. We assess your situation in the consultation and advise candidly. We do not accept applications we believe will be rejected.
The $130,000 government donation is paid only after your application has been approved by the Citizenship Commission — not before. The only upfront government fee is the $5,500 due diligence fee at submission.
